Be ready:
to do good!
Titus 3:1:
Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good.
Romans 12:13:
When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.
How do I "be ready" to do help?
Have the time and availability!
1 Timothy 6:18:
Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.
How do I "be ready" to share?
Have some available!
Either:
1. Give first!
or:
2. Set aside first!
We do not do good to be loved by God; we do good because we are loved by God!
Ephesians 2:8-10:
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece.
He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
